Tonight we kick of the Washi Tape Mania (Midnight, CST)!
Grab a few supplies -- exacto knife, washi tape and a chipboard letter.
I picked my 'R' up for $2.99 at Hobby Lobby a few weeks ago.
I wasn't sure how I was going to embellish it, but then the 'washi' spoke {giggle}.
You're just going to make strips on your chipboard with your washi tape of choice.
I did mine in small sections, rather than covering the entire letter up front.
Then you'll take your exacto knife and trim off the access tape,
using the chipboard as a guide made the trimming easy breezy!
You'll just keep doing this until the entire piece is covered.
I only did the front, because I knew the back wouldn't be seen hanging on the wall.
I hammered a sawtooth hanger onto the back and added it to my gallery wall in my work room.
I couldn't be happier! So fantastically cute, right? It's truly washi fantabulous!
See you soon at the Washi Tape Mania par-tay!
Can't wait to see your projects {smile}.

ReplyDeleteBack to the Washi Tape, my youngest son picked out the same letters, spelling out his name, but I have them put away because I could not decide how to decorate them.
I just bought a couple of Washi Tape rolls, so I am going to get the letters out and let him create away!
Thanks!
