A Spring Fling :: Hosting a Spring Par-tay

Who doesn't love to par-tay?  Whether it's big or small, expensive or inexpensive -- parties are just fun!  And when you really enjoy being the hostess with the mostess, they're even more fun.   I had a blast pulling this mini spring fling together.   All parties (like design) start with inspiration. Mine started with these little kits I purchased from The Plaid Barn.  They screamed Spring {smile}.

From there it was just ensuring I had a vision and a budget.  What did I want to do?  How did I want to do it?  How much was I willing to spend?  I knew I didn't want formal invites -- a few word of mouth invites worked for me.  I also knew that I wanted it to be small, somewhat inexpensive and have some vintage flair.   A dessert bar was more or less what I was looking for as well.  From there I kept my eyes peeled for the perfect finds... and boy did I find some of them.  I think I may have nailed it.  What do you think?

I fell in {love} with these Wooden Utensils and the stripey straws were a must have as well.
Simply sweet and perfect.  I'm officially crushing on this shop now too.

Spring Mini Packaging Kit from The Plaid Barn

Later this week, I'll share some tips and tricks on glass bottles, unusual cupcake toppers and a thrifty find. Not everything has to be elaborate, complicated or expensive.  Sometimes simple and fun works too!

Before we go, let me give yet another shout out to my awesome sister, Kristine. She assisted in taking all of these fabulous pics for me -- and edited them.  They turned out INCREDIBLE, but that's how she rolls {smile}.
I'll be partying {hereherehere and here}.
