Frosted Banana Cookies

It's been a bit since I shared a recipe with you!  So, here we are.  Today I'm going to share a delicious Frosted Banana Cookie recipe that was given to me years ago from a gal in the church I was on staff at in Manhattan, KS.  These cookies seriously melt in your mouth.  Enjoy!

Set Oven to 350˚
Makes approximately 3 dozen

Ingredients for Cookies:
3/4 cup shortening, 3/4 cup brown sugar
1 egg, 1/2 tsp vanilla
2 medium mashed bananas
1/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp soda, and 2 cups flour

Cream shortening, brown sugar and vanilla.

Add eggs and bananas.

Sift dry ingredients and add to wet mixture.

Grease cookie sheet.  Drop on cookie sheet by teaspoons.
You can press down the dough or leave in drops.
Place in the oven for 10 minutes or until set and golden brown.
Ingredients for Frosting:
6 Tbspn Brown Sugar
4 Tbspn Cream or Milk
4 Tbspn Oleo (margarine/parkay)
Powdered Sugar

Bring to boil, continue to boil until sugar is dissolved,
then add powdered sugar until it is spreadable.

Drizzle over the cookies on the cookie sheet or cooling rack.

And you're set to serve with a glass of milk!
If you like bananas or banana bread, you will {love} these!

I'll be partying {here, here and here}.
