Blog Hop {HUGE} Success // Thank You

Friends, I can't even describe how excited it is to see the incredible number of blogs that linked up to this past Sunday's Blog Hop!  Wowzer!  I have to be honest in saying that it was a pleasant surprise, I really didn't know what to expect.  Thanks to the lovely Grow Your Blog Series contributors and YOU, we knocked this blog hop out of the ball park!  What's even more exciting is the number of new bloggy friends I've made.  You are all so very kind to follow me and THANK YOU for the innumerable amounts of e-mails and tweets I've received about the series and how helpful it was to you.  My cheeks hurt from smiling so much the past few days.  "I love smiling.  Smiling is my favorite." (from the movie Elf).

As of last night, I have visited each and every blog that has linked up to #629 -- I will be visiting the rest of you, I promise.  Seeing the creativity in your names and blog designs is simply amazing.  It's quite a smorgasbord of blogs out of there.  I hope you all took some time to "hop" around and meet some of these fabulous bloggers.  You won't be disappointed!

Just to be sure that you all know how much I appreciate you -- let me share a little some-something.  The word verification for leaving a comment was a wee-bit overwhelming.  At times, I think my eyes were going crossed from doing it over and over again.  Now, let's think about this -- for those of you that have the word verification in place for security, I must have done this at least 600 times.  Whoa, right? Is that showing some {love} or what? {giggle}

    I say wowzers to all the word verifying too! Word verifying is in a word,TERRIFYING.

    Maybe a post is in order, about how to take that feature out--as some bloggers are new!

    You are wonder woman for staying up with commenting on all the blogs! And the word verifications--AWFUL! How is a human supposed to read these "words?!" I do wish people would just turn them off...

    Kelly, I know exactly what you mean by the captchas. Honestly I find them annoying... but I had my own domain/blog in the past and I got a lot of spam. I mean, A LOT OF SPAM. That's why I have them now. I can't imagine going through 600+ and having to do word verifications. You sure are a nice lady. :)

    Thank you again for this wonderful series! I've found some great blogs and gotten some great tips. I whole-heartedly agree w/ you about comment verifications, btw! I've always found them ridiculous and annoying, especially when trying to comment from a smart phone w/ auto-correct. Lol. I can't image trying to comment on 600+ blogs w/ verifications! You're really dedicated! :P (PS: did you realize you have verifications turned on on this blog?)

    And yes, the word-verification drives me nuts. I must be part robot because I never seem to get it on the first try!

    PS. You know you can turn off the verification. It isn't necessary anymore. Blogger has one in place that works great. I go in every week and just delete all the spam that Blogger catches and puts in a folder. Works great and my readers don't have to squint to read those squiggly letters. ;-)

I always wonder about those word verifications...they drive me nuts, too, yet so many people have them. I wonder what kind of security or spam i am missing out on. I guess when I have lots of readers one day I will understand the importance. But for now, I am opting for hassle free commenting. But I might be getting hacked and not even know it. IDK! : )
